About Kenrie
In April of 2005, Kenrie, Inc. purchased the rights to be the sole OEM provider of replacement parts for machine tools for various product lines that had been produced by Micromatic Textron. These products primarily consisted of Micromatic Honing Machines, B&T Die-cast and Trim Press equipment, Ex-Cell-O Injection Molding and Structural Foam equipment and Buss Planer Equipment. Since January 2006, Kenrie has proudly offered custom-engineered honing/microsizing machines designed to process engine blocks, conn-rods, gears (bore & face honing), compressors, liners, valves, or anything that requires the honing process.

Who We Are – The Management Team

Ken Vennesland - Founder and President
Ken started working for Micromatic 30 years ago as a mechanical engineer after college. He has moved throughout the company, assisting many departments, including machine proposal, engineering, purchasing, production control, routings, internal sales, and parts pricing. Ken’s many years of experience in all facets of the honing industry have allowed Ken to revitalize a tradition in the honing industry. Ken is a Lake Superior State University alum with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and an associate’s degree in Drafting & Design.

Rick Mathis - Vice President - Operations
Rick started with Kenrie in 2005 and has a background in inside sales, purchasing and service. Since joining Kenrie, Rick has become an integral part of the day to day operations of Kenrie and his hands on experience in all aspects of machine build and service have helped him better service Kenrie's customers.

Mike Eding - Chief Process Engineer
Mike has been in the honing industry for over 30 years, and was an employee of Micromatic for 23 years. Mike has served in departments including assembly, tryout, service, and proposal. His hands on experience and vast knowledge of the honing process allows him to provide superior technical advisement to meet all of your honing needs.

Karl Wind - Chief Controls Engineer
Karl graduated from Ferris State University with a degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology and has utilized his education and field experience to become a Chief Controls Engineer in a short amount of time. Karl's experience and expertise allow him to provide timely solutions for all of your controls needs.

Mike Remar - Sales Engineer
Mike brings to Kenrie 10 years of professional experience planning and managing international, regional and national sales programs. Mike is your contact for all new Microhone Machine Systems.

Tina Peterson - Mechanical Engineer
Tina graduated from Ferris State University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Tina brings with her over 10 years of engineering experience in CAD and 3D design and engineering.

Anna Mathews - Customer Service Coordinator
Anna is your primary contact for obtaining parts for your current honing, die-cast and wood planing equipment.
